The Battle Case was born to fill a gap in the market - between fragile cases and expensive premium options.

Designed as a natural extension of the SafeandSound system, it combines robust construction, flexible storage and modular expandability — perfect for displaying your collection at home or securely transporting magnetized miniatures.

This variant uses smaller trays arranged in two independently configurable sections, giving you even greater control over how models of different heights are stored.

Key Features & Included Components

Flexible Storage with Small Trays

The shelving insert features precision-cut 4 mm-high grooves separated by 44 mm gaps, providing tray positions at 48 mm intervals.

Because each side can be configured independently, you can fill one section with multiple trays for infantry while leaving more vertical space on the other side for tall centerpiece models.

Included in the set:

• 4 small HDF trays measuring 269 × 198 mm and 3 mm thick
  • each tray includes a pre-glued 0.4 mm galvanized metal plate
  • total tray thickness with the metal plate: 3.4 mm
• 6 universal connectors for stacking Battle Cases vertically

In the Small Tray version, the connectors are used for vertical stacking only. If you also own the Standard Tray version, spare connectors can be used there as rear supports for additional loaded trays.

Configure It Around Your Army

The two independently adjustable sections give you plenty of ways to organize your collection:

• add extra trays to accommodate up to 9 small trays in total
• create a dense multi-level layout for infantry and skirmish forces
• leave more vertical space for dragons, massive mechs, monsters and other tall models
• combine both approaches by storing infantry on one side and centerpiece models on the other

With all nine trays installed, the case can theoretically hold approximately 750 small infantry models, depending on their base size, pose and spacing.

Why Use a Galvanized Metal Plate Instead of Ferromagnetic Foil?

The 0.4 mm galvanized metal plate provides significantly stronger magnetic pull, particularly for heavier models or smaller magnets, making it far more reliable than typical foil-based alternatives.

Durable, Practical Construction

• The 8 mm-thick MDF frame provides excellent structural rigidity, resistance to pressure and long-term durability.
• A central vertical support reinforces the entire construction. The case has been successfully tested under a load exceeding 105 kg.
• With no hinges or moving plastic parts, there is nothing to jam, loosen or break during normal use.

Assembly & Dimensions

Assembly takes approximately 5 minutes and requires standard wood glue. Fit the components together, apply the glue and press them firmly into place.
